A few strands of beads can instantly polish off an outfit and pull
together the entire look you want to achieve. Finding just the right
colour of beads and being able to afford all the beads you may want
is a different story.
The greatest thing about silver plated beads and findings these
days, is that there is often a non-tarnish or tarnish-resistant
coating applied to beads and findings. I have found that I
absolutely love using silver plated beads because they dont tarnish
as easily as sterling silver (especially when stored in airtight
containers or plastic baggies). The beauty of this non-tarnish
finish is that, should your plated pieces start to turn, you can now
polish them with a polishing cloth. Gone are the days when, once
those metal beads turned black, they went right in the trash.
